Question

Could you explain to me the hadîth that says one of the seven people who will get the shade of Allah's throne on the Day of Judgment will be a man who rejects the charms of a women?

Answer

It is related from Abû Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
There are seven whom Allah will shade with His shade on the day when there is no shade but His shade: a just Imam, a youth who grows up worshipping Allah, a man whose heart is attached to the mosque, two men who love each other for the sake of Allah alone, meeting for that reason and parting for that reason, a man who refuses the advances of a noble and beautiful woman, saying, 'I fear Allah', a man who gives charity and conceals it so that his left hand does not know what his right hand gives, and a man who remembers Allah when he is alone and his eyes overflow with tears. [Sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]
Imam al-Nawawî, in his commentary on Sahih Muslim, writes:
A woman of beauty and dignity calls that man to commit adultery with her but he either says: ‘I fear of Allah’ or he feels the fear of Allah in his heart. The great reward for such abstinence in this case is that a woman like this will be highly desired and generally difficult to obtain. So when she calls someone to her, he will be most likely eager to accept her advance. But in this case this man refuses her advances.
