In Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best charity is that given in Ramadhan.” (Bukhari and Muslim). This hadith emphasizes that the best and most important in giving Zakat in Islam are the ones given during Ramadhan. It also means that the rewards of such givings are higher during this holy month.
In another Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Charity does not decrease wealth.” (Bukhari). This hadith highlights the benefits of giving to others, even if it may seem difficult or sacrificial.
In Malaysia, Zakat Collection Counters are open almost everywhere to collect the minimum Zakat donation of RM7 from every Muslim.
